My beautiful room in Central Square is up for grabs!!!!

Actually... 2 rooms up for grabs!!

2 of us in my house are moving out in the Fall.
Only Edward is staying in the apartment, and Oh!My!God! will you love Edward.
Expert at sorting trash, doing your dishes, and coming up with insane projects he only sometimes actually takes on. He studies comparative lit at Harvard, practices Qi Gong in the kitchen, and laughs out loud when he is alone (and thinks you can't hear him).

Handsome, friendly, burner type, Edward wants to live with YOU! --and YOU!

One of the rooms is available Sept 1, the other is available a few days into September AND RENT FOR THAT MONTH WILL BE PRORATED.

$500 plus utilities, either room.

THEY ARE BOTH FABULOUS!!!!!

Here's the goodies:
Central Sq, Cambridge, off the red line T, close to EVERYTHING!
Our apartment has a huuuuuge kitchen (it's actually the biggest room in the house!), a living room with the most unpredictable furniture, and an alcove off the hallway we've used alternatively as guest room/meditation room/bike storage.
Enormous basement for storage, playing hide and seek, spider hunting, and so on (really, the basement has offered us some elaborate fun).
The landlord is sweet as a pie, lives in Florida, will never be in your way, and will always be adorable on the phone.
Laundry in building, backyard with very little potential (although it does have some sort of volleyball strung net across it), neighbors are uber friendly.

Come on over and see the rooms!
One is big, sunny, faces the street porch. The other is medium, is painted orange, and has a huuuge closet, amongst other fabulous benefits.

YOU WANT TO LIVE HERE!!!!! MAKE EDWARD SOOOO HAPPY!!!
IT WILL BE THE BEST MOVE OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

Peace!
This is an example of the work some people are doing to get an " official " message to our ( district ) State Representatives that the "numb" ers commonly being published and worked toward as being acceptable in an effort to mitigate the catastrophic and cataclysmic effects of pumping fossil carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases ( methane etc. ) into our atmosphere are unacceptable.
Barhop kicks off tonight, and that's that.

So hey, we'll see you and your meticulously-designed rabbit ears there!
(And in the event of inclement weather, please call the Hotline --
there will be some sort of bangin' bunny blowout no matter what. So
there!)

*************************************************************************
***********

Hey you! You are cordially invited to participate in the epic FOURTH
Annual Boston Bunny Barhop! That's right, come spread springtime cheer
whilst making a total ass of yourself!

WHAT: A good ol'-fashioned barhop in bunny ears. We will move together
as a boisterous band of boozed-up bunnies, hopping from bar to bar to
bar to bar to bar, grabbing a real-quick drink at each spot, giving out
high fives, and just generally sticking it to the Man.

WHEN: Easter weekend, of course. Friday, March 21st. First drink of the
night around 9 p.m.

WHERE: Cambridge, MA. Starting-line bar = Miracle of Science Bar &
Grill, 321 Mass Ave.

------- THE SORDID DETAILS -------

GLOWINESS!: We like to establish as glorious a street presence as
possible, so we encourage maximum GLOW-iness! Please deck your bad self
out with glowsticks, LEDs, EL-wire, lasers, flamethrowers, or, like,
whatever!

HOTLINE!: The Bunny Barhop Hotline will be open all night. Participants
may call the number: (508) 265-9141 and get minute-to-minute updates on
the current location of the 'Hop. Come join the rabble at any time
(though we'd love to have you there for the whole ugly drunken affair,
start to finish).

ROUTE!: There's a planned route for the 'Hop, hitting hotspots (and
freaking out squares!) down Mass Ave toward Harvard Square.
Traditionally we get as far as The People's Republik (876 Mass Ave), so
proactive designated drivers may wish to park around this area at the
beginning of the night.

LOVE!: We welcome rabbits of all cliques, circles, & crews. Throw on
your ears, come on down, and make a mass of instant new drunken
friends!

RULES!: There is only one hard n' fast rule (say it with us, people):
RABBIT EARS MANDATORY. Seriously. Fashion them out of construction
paper. Grab them from the Easter aisle of your friendly neighborhood
drugstore. Maim a stuffed animal. Just wear the frickin' ears.

It started as a ride. It started as a way of remembering a mother or a sister. A father or a brother. A friend or someone they had just met. Less than 20 friends getting together to ride and remember someone that had succumbed to cancer. More than 20 years later and donations totaling over $100 million dollars, it has turned into an event. An event that celebrates those that have survived and for those that will.

We ride in remembrance. We ride for those not yet cured. Those that cannot say, "I am cancer free for one year, two years, three years". We ride for those not old enough to experience a Red Sox World Championship, or a Patriots Super Bowl victory. We ride for those that cannot understand why this has happened to them and for those that never had a chance to fight back. We ride for those who wait for a cure.

Thank you for your interest to our music.

Last summer we held a throat singing camp in Tuva.

We had 14 students from around the world - 8 of them were from the US, 2 from Australia
2 from Denmark, 1 from France, 1 from England.
After arriving in Tuva, the students spent 1 week in Kyzyl, the capital city.
They were able to see many tourist attractions, see a Tuvan shaman,
and attend the Naadym - National Harvest Celebration.

The students then went on to spend 1 week in the deep taiga, with members of the Tuvan throat singing group Chirgilchin,
learning various styles of throat singing, traditional Tuvan instruments, as well as the Tuvan language.

This summer, we are trying to get 2 groups to go to Tuva again, in either June or July.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Please check our photos made by Russell Roesner - our student.
Logomotion Writing Workshop
Sometimes our words don't have access to what we know in our bones.
In this workshop we will be improvising moving and speaking, and we will be writing.
While our writing will stimulate our imagination and support our improvisations, our improvisations will enrich our writing with a kinesthetic timing to phrasing and windows on sudden thoughts and memories.
Our activities will include studio sessions of improvisational moving and speaking, spontaneous writing, walks in town, with partners, for conversations about matters large and small, and private times to write and to craft our writings and to read them to each other.
We will borrow from the writing practice of Natalie Goldberg as found in her books “Writing Down the Bones” and “Wild Mind”, discovering the associations that gather spontaneously around a chosen point of departure.
As our movement work will include many activities in partners and in groups, some of our writing will include more than one voice, focusing on the relationships between the thoughts of different people.
A goal will be to write with wild mind and intention, and with awareness of world.

Jennifer Dunning writes in her 1991 New York Times review: “Simone Forti presented her first dance program in 1960 and has since then had a steadily increasing influence on post-modernist choreographers interested in exploring ‘natural’ or non-formalist movement and dance”.

Our group, Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band, has begun it’s slow but insistent assault on the area, but we need more soldiers in our army of awesomeness. www.myspace.com/ensmb

Our repertoire currently consists of original compositions inspired by Klezmer, Second line brass bands, pirates, circus music and Charles Mingus, along with traditionals ranging from gypsy folk songs to ragtime to 19th century marches, and we throw in the occasional zany arrangement of a fun rock or pop song just to spruce things up.

In short, we call ourselves a modern circus band, and for good reason! For we accompany/are accompanied by a rotating cast of circus performers including dancers, aerialists, sideshow performers, and whatever other freaky people we can round up. In addition to having our very own troupe, the Madcap Rumpus Society ( www.myspace.com/madcaprumpus ), we have also been invited to perform with other autonomous local burlesque groups and performance artists.

You should join us! If you are a competent musician with enthusiasm for this project. You shouldn’t be afraid of dressing in a costume of sorts (which you get some input on), or playing for random events or in strange locations. (though we do play regular club gigs as well). Familiarity with any of the above styles is great, but not required. Also, improvisation skills are a plus, both for soloing and adlibbing parts. Basically, if you’ve got the horn, and you’ve got some talent and you have the right personality and attitude, we’d like to add you to our menagerie.

Feel free to hit me up with any questions you might have.

from beasts (camels, yaks, goats, dogs and silkworm) as well as
fibers from non-beasts (soy, bamboo, seaweed, corn). See how yarn is

I have been developing a holistic community center concept, and I’m looking for some feedback from you, the community, on my ideas. If you’re so inclined to assist my market research, I’d greatly appreciate your responses to the informal survey below. Thank you! Feel free to message me privately.

The concept is a holistic community center preferably located in the south eastern side of Somerville accessible via car, bus and walking distance from the T. The mission of the center is to build community and co-create space for healing and vitality in the city through holistic services and movement education. The services and classes offered at the center hold a common theme: creating vitality through the fusion of mind, body & spirit. The center offers:
1) session/office and classroom space for rent to holistic practitioners (any modality)
2) session/office and studio space for classes and events for rent to movement educators (dance, nia, tai chi, etc.. teachers)
3) opportunities for practitioners and educators to collaborate on events & offerings
4) event and meeting space for rent to groups, troupes and the general public
5) practice space for groups and troupes
6) opportunities for local artisans to show & sell their work
7) ongoing classes & events available for the public
8) books, products, art relevant to the mission for sale to the general public

Informal free form survey
1) for holistic practitioners & movement educators: how does the idea of collaboration with other service providers sound to you? how likely would you be to want to rent space in a center like this? any other thoughts?
2) for groups & troupes: does this concept have what you are looking for in a practice, event or meeting space? any other thoughts?
3) for all consumers: how likely are you to patronize a center in this location? how likely are you to use any of these services? any other thoughts?

Thank you very much for your feedback!
The Veil: long a symbol of feminine beauty and mystery, used by bellydancers
as a flowing prop and extension of costuming. In Gothic Belly Dance, we move
with the veil into darker places, infusing the silk with the occult powers

Hey you! You are cordially invited to participate in the epic Third Annual Boston Bunny Barhop! That's right, come spread springtime cheer whilst making a total ass of yourself!

WHAT: A good ol'-fashioned barhop in bunny ears. We will move together as a boisterous band of boozed-up bunnies, hopping from bar to bar to bar to bar to bar, grabbing a real-quick drink at each spot, giving out high fives, and just generally sticking it to the Man.

WHEN: Easter weekend, of course. Friday, April 6th. First drink of the night around 9 p.m.

WHERE: Cambridge, MA. Starting-line bar = Miracle of Science Bar & Grill, 321 Mass Ave.

------- THE SORDID DETAILS -------

GLOWINESS!: We like to establish as glorious a street presence as possible, so we encourage maximum GLOW-iness! Please deck your bad self out with glowsticks, LEDs, EL-wire, lasers, flamethrowers, or, like, whatever!

AFTERPARTY!: 'Top secret' location of the official Boston Bunny Barhop Afterparty to be announced during the 'Hop.

------- THE FINE PRINT -------

The Bunny Barhop Hotline will be open all night. Participants may call the number: (508) 265-9141 and get minute-to-minute updates on the current location of the 'Hop. Come join the rabble at any time (though we'd love to have you there for the whole ugly drunken affair, start to finish).

There's a planned route for the 'Hop, hitting hotspots (and freaking out squares!) down Mass Ave toward Harvard Square. Traditionally we get as far as The People's Republik (876 Massachusetts Ave) before heading to the Afterparty. (Proactive designated drivers may wish to park around this area at the beginning of the night.)

We welcome rabbits of all cliques, circles, & crews. Throw on your ears, come on down, and make a mass of instant new drunken friends!

There is only one hard n' fast rule (say it with us, people): RABBIT EARS MANDATORY. Seriously. Fashion them out of construction paper. Grab them from the Easter aisle of your friendly neighborhood drugstore. Maim a stuffed animal. Just wear the frickin' ears.

Questions & suggestions may be directed to your friendly rabbit coordinators:

Hi everyone!

I am reposting this in the hope that someone may be able to help me and my gorgeous dog Socrates out. It's a big one ... I am moving back to Australia from Boston and want desperately to take my baby with me. However, all the quarantine places in Australia are filled up for the next 5-6 months. Since I can only legally (well, legally-esque - i think i'm already over my visa limitations) stay in america for another month, I cannot wait with him. So, I am hoping to find someone out there who loves animals and is willing to foster Socrates during the time it takes to secure him a spot in quarantine.

He is a beautiful fox terrier/beagle mix, with a truly old soul and the heart of an angel. He LOVES humans, and would bring so much love and affection to you. He's nearly 5, in good health, and I would of course provide a much remuneration as I possibly could, incl his food/vet bills.

It's a big ask, I know, but I have to try and believe that there is someone out there who may be able to help me and my beloved get through this. I've had him for a year, and cannot imagine my life without him. If you are interested, or know anyone who may be, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know asap! Thankyou!

Hoping and loving,

MANNA AMBROSIA/SOMA/TEONANACATL
Hell-Low from Heaven-High; I am author/publisher of "MANNA" the book documenting the
BIBLICAL use of MAGIC-MUSHROOMS.
“Manna” Explores the evidence that Christ was the leader of a Pagan Cult teaching a revival/renaissance of an ancient mushroom ritual learned in Egypt by Moses and Christ, a mushroom religion known also to the Maya of ancient Mesoamerica, and around the world. The Manna-Book asks if this knowledge was kept secret by an elite caste of priests within the Kabalistic Jewish Rabbis until such a time as Christ came and taught it to the masses.

Exodus 16:14-24 indicates that MANNA was inevitably a MUSHROOM.
It was a small round thing in the morning dew, it bred larva, and would melt to mush if not dried. KING JAMES VERSION.
All mushroom pickers know that fly’s eggs cause larvae/worms in mushrooms. The one food most notorious for being full of worms.

Daniel 5:3-5 with Exodus 16:32 and Hebrews 9:4
indicates that the mushroom was a DRUG. After sacking the temple in Jerusalem and stealing the Ark-of-the-Covenant, the King of Babylon and his table drank from the golden cup containing the holy “MANNA” they had visions within the hour….. Psilocybin takes 30-40 minutes to induce visions.

Hebrews 9:4 makes it clear that MANNA was the most holy thing to Israelites, kept in A POT OF GOLD in the ARK OF THE COVENANT, in the MOST HOLY OF HOLYS. So sacred is the Manna that only the High Priest has access to it and only on one day of the year (Yom Kippur), which comes 3 days before the harvest moon (Hallows Eve).

Psalm 78:24-25 calls MANNA FOOD OF ANGELS, just as MAYAN/INCA PRIESTS from Meso-America called it TEONANACATL FOOD OF THE GODS.
MANNA is an Egyptian word, not Hebrew or Aramaic, meaning;
The BREAD OF GOD. This is what Moses called it in Exodus 16:15.
“Bread Of God” means “FOOD OF GOD”, which is the same meaning of TEONANACATL (Mayan), and AMBROSIA (Greek), and SOMA (Hindu) a word for mushroom tea, all these words mean “Spiritual Food”.
Coca and Tobacco Leaves found in Pharaohs tombs suggest it was ancestors of Mayan/Inca Priests who brought MUSHROOMS to Egypt.

John 2:6-9 indicates that Jesus made water into wine by boiling mushrooms (Mushroom-Tea), the waterpots were made of stone, not clay, (stone pots were used for cooking, clay pots used for storing water). These pots already contained 2-3 firkins of a substance before the pots were filled with water.
A “Firkin” is an Old-English measurement meaning a fourth part. Half to three-quarters of fresh mushrooms with water makes a potent tea. Tea is the safest way to consume field mushrooms, killing dangerous bacteria like E. Coli. In the Atharva Veda, the Hindus called this Tea SOMA. Greeks called mushroom jelly AMBROSIA.
Those who drank the water made into wine said it was the most potent intoxicant (St. John 2:10). The Bible tells us that Jesus making water into wine was the “beginning of miracles” … in other words no one saw any miracles until drinking the wine made from water. (St. John 2:11).

“MANA” is an EGYPTIAN WORD, not HEBREW or ARAMAIC, Meaning; “The BREAD OF GOD”. Moses, Christ, and Joseph, The favorite son of Israel, were all educated in Egypt. Solomon married Pharaoh’s daughter, and Abraham found his God at a place called SHECHEM (Sekhem), which is another Egyptian word for MANNA. TEONANACATL [Maya] = SOMA [Hindu] = AMBROSIA / BROMA-THEON [Greek] = MANNA [Egyptian/Hindu] It can be no coincidence that the MAYAN, EGYPTIAN, GREEK, HINDU, and ISRAELITE words for the mushroom all mean exactly the same thing: “THE BREAD OF GOD”.

MANNA was round, was found on the ground in the dew, would melt to mush if not dried or collected on time, and would breed larvae. All unique characteristics of mushrooms. When dried it was like “WAFERS OF BREAD” and it’s color was like “CORIANDER SEED”, the consistency and color of dried mushrooms, as described in Exodus Ch. 16.
Other psychedelics used in the Bible include, of course, Cannabis, Mandrake and others. This book focuses on Mushrooms: “The Global Sacrament”.
Be advised that the author does not advocate the non-ritual use of mushrooms or in any way place their importance above that of love, “Seek first the kingdom of love and all other things shall be added to you” [Christ].
a positive self-image. That`s the first - and most important - step in finding someone great.

The way you think can affect the way you feel and
act. others can sense it, too. This course is
all about the power of positive thinking. You will leave feeling better
about yourself and know how to exude this new found confidence.
This course is for you if you want to feel more accepted by others:
co-workers,friends, men/women you want to date etc.

Greetings everyone! My fiance and I are getting married in Boston on the 20th of July and I am I looking for suggestions regarding where we should go to party and have fun in the Boston area. We are all about good beer and friendly atmospheres. Live music in the Irish or acoustic vein would be good.

We are actually arriving on the 14th and will leave on the 22nd, so we will have many evenings where we will be looking for places to hang out and meet some new people. We would love to find a group of people to bar hop with or just hang out with any of the evenings we are in town.

If you are interested in being a party guide and would enjoy a few free beers, let me know. You can read more about me in my profile. My fiance is Mel - people.tribe.net/chasingjoy
Sadly, Sen. Edward Kennedy has become one of the more active purveyors of this anti-Cape Wind mythology, defying his own proud record as a longtime champion of sound energy policy.

Isn't it time to move beyond misleading assertion to an honest reckoning with a project that could bring Massachusetts to the forefront of our battle against climate change? Let's look at a few of the myths recently advanced by the anti-Cape Wind campaign:

Myth No. 1: Cape Wind unfairly benefits from public subsidies. Fact: Federal and state subsidies for renewable energy projects have been created for the express purpose of helping wind and other forms of clean energy compete with long-subsidized conventional fuels, such as coal and oil, as well as nuclear power. Even the anti-Cape Wind ''Alliance'' claims to support the development of renewable energy, and Senator Kennedy has a proud record of supporting federal clean energy subsidies. To support these incentives in principle and then cast stones at an entrepreneur who relies on them in planning a major pioneering renewable energy project smacks of gross hypocrisy.

Myth No. 2: Cape Wind is getting unfair access to federal land and waters. Fact: At the time Cape Wind was first proposed, there was no mechanism for an offshore wind farm developer to make payments to the federal government for occupying undersea public lands. There also was no system for leasing those lands for wind energy development on a competitive basis - though, as a practical matter, no other wind developer with an expressed interest in siting a facility in Nantucket Sound existed at the time.

The Federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 finally established requirements for royalty payments by wind energy projects in federal waters. While the Act ensured that the two pending offshore wind proposals - Cape Wind and another project off Long Island - could proceed with their review rather than start again from scratch, Cape Wind was not exempted from paying royalties equivalent to those that will be required for any other approved wind farm sited in federal waters. Cape Wind, which stands ready to pay these royalties, has no financial edge over other wind developers.

Myth No. 3: Cape Wind is not being adequately reviewed. Fact: This myth permeates anti-Cape Wind rhetoric and flies in the face of the regulatory endurance test that the project has undergone so far. For nearly five years, Cape Wind's proponents have complied with a daunting array of regulatory and permitting processes involving 17 federal, state and local agencies.

This has far exceeded the scrutiny that any coal or oil-fired power plant has been subjected to, despite the immeasurably greater environmental hazards posed by fossil fuel extraction, transportation, combustion, and waste disposal.

Given Cape Wind's scrupulous adherence to this lengthy review process, it is galling that the project's opponents, urged on by Senator Kennedy, are trying to maneuver the U.S. Congress to hand the Massachusetts governor unqualified veto power over the siting of this project in Nantucket Sound. This veto power, inserted during secret House-Senate conference committee negotiations over the pending $8.7 billion Coast Guard reauthorization bill, is an affront to sound public policy and makes a mockery of a rigorous multi-year project review.

Myth No. 4: Cape Wind will damage the economy of the Cape and Islands. Fact: There is considerable evidence from Scandinavia, California and the Pacific Northwest that the opposite is true - that wind farms attract visitors and tourists rather than repelling them. While we won't know for sure exactly what the tourism impacts of Cape Wind will be until the project is up and running, the opponents' dire warnings of a tourism slump simply aren't borne out by relevant experience elsewhere.

With gasoline prices once again topping $3 per gallon and studies pointing conclusively toward dramatic global warming trends, the shift to renewable energy is a mounting imperative. Calm, careful completion of the Cape Wind review can open the door to Massachusetts' renewable energy frontier. Stealth measures designed to jettison that review, and the Cape Wind project, should be roundly rejected by our leaders in the U.S. Congress.

Please call and write to your Members of Congress and ask that they vote against the Coast Guard bill until the Stevens' Amendment has been removed from the Coast Guard Reauthorization bill.

http://www.capewind.org/

The Stevens amendment attempts to block the Cape Wind project for offshore Nantucket Sound in Massachusetts. The amendment would allow the Governor veto power over wind farms but would not provide the same veto power over nuclear, coal, oil or other power generation projects. Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R), who has stated that he opposes the Cape Wind project, would have the ability to veto the Cape Wind project without having to cite any reason.
